Richard B. Cheney a notable public servant and entrepreneur is vice president of the United States. Cheney is an established figure within Washington's political world. George W. Bush who is set to become the new chief of state in the U.S. will be Cheney's fourth. Bush nominated Cheney to be his vice president running partner in July of 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney was a chief of Staff to Presidents, was a member of the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense, and served the nation in various capacities. Cheney is an honest man who is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney stated that he sees his role as an honest and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. Cheney expressed his excitement at taking the Republican vice-presidential nod. Cheney said the future is bright for him working with a person who is able to work together with people of diverse political beliefs and the same goals. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on January 30, 1941 at Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family moved out of Nebraska and moved to Casper where his dad was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
