Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson's parents include Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She is American and has Mexican-American heritage. Her entire life has been a sports enthusiast. Gerina took up golf when she turned 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School for her high school education. At the age of 16, she was a winner in New Mexico's state golf tournament. In addition, she was an athlete in volleyball who played at the state level. She attended the University of Texas, Texas during the 2003 academic year. During the senior period of her career she won each tournament that she participated in. During undergraduate studies she was awarded the title as Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
