She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. She was in numerous acclaimed movies in the subsequent decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
